We would like to hear your views about our proposed recommendations on how Scotland can continue to lead by example in human rights. We have outlined some of the ways in which you can do this in the webpage below.

Human rights are the basic rights and freedoms that belong to every person. They apply regardless of where you are from, what you believe or how you choose to live your life. Human rights are a vital part of a just and equal society where no one can take these rights and freedoms away from you.

Survey

You can share your thoughts about our proposed recommendations via our online survey, which will be open until 11th October. The survey has also been translated into British Sign Language (BSL).

Events

In September 2018, we hosted a series of events in Inverness, Glasgow and Dundee where a broad range of participants shared their views about:

  • our possible recommendations;
  • how they should be carried out;
  • how they can be as effective as possible in improving the lives of people; and
  • how the public can influence this.
